Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. Our vision is a world without dementia. Until the day we find a cure we will strive to create a society where those affected by dementia are support and accepted, able to live in their communities without fear or prejudice.

About the role
We’re looking for an exceptional Internal Communication and Engagement Manager to manage the delivery of our internal communications and engagement. You’ll work closely with the Head of Internal Communication and Engagement and play an important role in informing, involving and engaging our people to actively contribute to the Society and act as ambassadors for all that we do.

This is a strategic role, with access and influence across the organisation, and the ability to work with autonomy and as part of cross Society teams. This is a highly visible role with lots of scope for creativity and innovation.

The main duties of the role are managing and enabling a small team of highly experienced officers; taking responsibility for a well-established and successful network of communication channels and events; and delivering a compelling corporate narrative across our channels to help our people understand what we want to achieve, why, and the role they play.

About You
You’ll be a first class communicator with experience of advising on engagement activities at a senior level.

You’ll be a great influencer and have a diplomatic yet determined approach in all your professional relationships. You'll have experience of overseeing a range of channels – including digital, events and the production of materials – plus line management experience.

Above all, you’ll be a master at managing your time and the resources in a team – able to take multiple requests and a large array of stories and information to coordinate our work into a simple plan that effectively engages our people.

Our employees work hard every day to make a true difference in people's lives. We are proud to support them with a range of benefits, recognition and many options for working agilely. All contributing to a strong work life balance. We also have various learning programmes to support you in your development and help you grow to realise your potential and shape a career with Alzheimer's Society.
