Corporate PR Manager
Auto Trader is looking to recruit a Corporate PR Manager, to work with the Director of Communications and wider PR and communications team in broadening Auto Trader’s thought-leader communication strategy.
Auto Trader listed on the London Stock Exchange in March 2015 and is now a member of the FTSE 250 Index. As we move into the next phase of our plc journey, we are looking to broaden our corporate PR strategy to use the media to successfully influence both analysts, media and the wider City alike.
We’ve always been good at connecting car sellers with the right buyers. But over the years, how we do this has altered beyond all recognition. That’s because consumer behaviours have changed. You might remember us as a magazine, but today we’re a digital business used by millions of people. As we’re the UK’s largest digital automotive marketplace, our data can help sellers really understand buyers. And that means we’re not just about classified ads — our services and support help automotive traders buy, sell, market and manage their stock successfully.

The industry is on the precipice of change; there are a plethora of factors at play from new technology, autonomous cars, changing fuel types, electric vehicles, and not to mention Brexit – so this is an exciting time to play a large part in a small team and be part of what comes next.
You’ll work with the directors as well as a cross section of the business to inform and shape our communication programmes. You’ll support the team to deliver regular corporate news and events, and be passionate about forging and maintaining relationships with national business journalists and other key stakeholders.
You will have excellent writing skills and be proficient in writing for a variety of formats from press releases to reports, and from social media posts to internal team briefings.
You should have significant PR experience, either in-house or agency side, and have worked with a mixture of consumer and B2B brands. It would be beneficial to have experience of working with FTSE 100 or 250 companies. Ideally, you will have worked with clients across automotive and/or digital retail businesses and have a proven track record of delivering campaigns in line with KPIs and budget.
