Right now there is a buzz about Waltham Forest.  London’s first Borough of Culture and bursting with energy and opportunity, it is a place people want to live, raise a family and start a business.  Since 2010, we have reshaped our Council to deliver savings, improve services and invest in the future.

Looking ahead, our Creating Futures vision is fundamentally changing the way we work, building relationships, connecting people, harnessing our unique assets and the power of new technology to create strong, sustainable and self-reliant communities.

Such a radical approach requires a radical change in our communications delivery.  We are looking for someone who can tell the story of our borough – the people and places that make Waltham Forest so special.   We need a visionary campaigner who can use the power of communications to change behaviour, shape demand and place Waltham Forest at the centre of debates that impact on the lives of our residents.

Our Director of Communications & Communities will operate at the centre of our organisation, championing our new approach, challenging our thinking, while always looking to the future. You will need a strategic brain to help shape both our council and our external stakeholder environment to the benefit of our residents.
