Job Details
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced account director with a background in travel. The role is an exciting and integral position within the team. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic PR programmes for clients, sourcing new business opportunities for the agency and effectively managing a team of PR professionals at different levels to deliver on campaign objectives and to grow the business.
You will be an experienced account director (at least six months’ experience at JAD/AD level) and have strong media contacts in travel and would need to demonstrate a solid understanding of the travel industry.

- Proven success with pitching and winning new business
- Creating PR plans and strategy documents that meet client’s objectives. This will include taking the lead on big budget campaigns and launches
- Building brilliant client relationships
- Offering senior counsel and advice to clients across the board
- Leading a team of PR professionals and motivating them to succeed and exceed their targets – driving excellence across the team for our clients
- Sourcing new business opportunities and taking the lead with pitches and proposals
- Sourcing opportunities for organic growth
- Being accountable for clients billing and budgets
You will have:
- Strong leadership style and able to develop and nurture team members as well as lead the day to day of the accounts
- Confidence in proactively approaching new business opportunities
- Excellent writing, presenting and communication skills
- Excellent and proven media contacts
- Well-rounded Travel and PR industry knowledge
- Social media experience and understanding
- Experience in writing toolkits and writing proposals
- The ability to successfully manage several clients at one time
- Strong attention to detail
- An understanding of the internal commercial, financial or political challenges and environments that clients may be facing
