Senior PR & Celebrity Officer (Fundraising)

As Senior PR & Celebrity Officer (Fundraising) you will propose, develop and deliver creative media relations and PR plans to support fundraising and income generating campaigns and initiatives. This is truly an amazing opportunity to make a real difference.

The role

We are looking for an ambitious, creative and experienced Senior PR & Celebrity Officer to join my client’s Fundraising PR team. You will be joining our PR & Celebrity team at a busy and exciting time, as we evaluate previous campaigns and plan for our Spring campaigns.

Working as part of the high-performing Fundraising PR team, you will play a lead role in raising the profile of my client’s wide portfolio of Fundraising activities and campaigns, particularly managing PR for Corporate Partnerships - working with high profile brands such as M&S, Asda and ghd – and our flagship and high-profile campaigns, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and Wear it Pink.

You will work closely with our celebrity supporters on a day-to-day basis, engaging them in our work and campaigns.

As a member of the wider PR team, you will play an active role in monitoring news coverage, on a daily basis. You will also participate in the team’s out-of-hours on call rota.

About you

You will have significant and demonstrable experience in developing and delivering PR campaigns for Fundraising campaigns and / or consumer brands, either in-house or in an agency.

An excellent all-round communicator, your strong and engaging inter-personal skills will enable you to work closely with journalists, celebrities, influencers and case studies, to build support for my client’s work – and you will be able to demonstrate how you have done this in other roles. You will have existing relationships with relevant key journalists across print, broadcast online (particularly across consumer media), and will have the skills to maintain and develop these to secure regular and impactful coverage.

You will be a strong writer and creative thinker, with a passion for PR and bringing stories to life. As well as first class communications skills, you will have excellent organisational and time-management skills, and will be comfortable and confident contributing your ideas. You will be adaptable and resourceful and keen to learn new skills, but will be able to bring new and innovative ideas and ways of working to the role.
