Job Details
My client, a leading life sciences company, is looking for an experienced Head of Communications to develop and lead all aspects of the company’s internal and external comms.
You will help to deliver:
• Good understanding, among internal and external stakeholders, of what the company does
• Positive perception of the company among key stakeholders
• An engaged workforce
• Successful management of issues and crisis communications
On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:
• Creating clear, consistent messaging for external stakeholders including the media,
patients, clinical research sites, partners, investors, regulators, politicians and
policymakers
• Developing written materials such as press releases, company newsletters, website
content, company statements, and Q&A documents
• Managing media relations
• Managing issues and crisis communications
• Developing and delivering an effective communications programme that inspires and
engages employees, and gives them a strong sense of purpose and belonging
• Ensuring integrated messaging, branding and tone of voice across internal and
external stakeholders This role would suit someone who is skilled at strategic thinking as well as implementation. You will need to be a strong communicator and influencer, with excellent written and verbal
communication, and experience of working with senior leadership teams in multi-functional organisations. Experience of working in the healthcare/life sciences industry would be an
advantage.
