Senior Consultant- Public Affairs

A global advisory firm are looking for a Senior Consultant to join their Public Affairs team. You will be a former Government political adviser – someone with a background in Government who can speak with authority to clients and provide informed policy and political insight. You will be working across a variety of sectors, delivering complex campaigns and projects. You will have excellent networking skills, excellent writing skills and a collaborator who is able to foster good working relationships.

You will be responsible for:

• Growing existing and winning new business
• Managing client relationships
• Delivering complex campaigns and projects with multiple stakeholders
• Producing and reviewing proposals and briefing papers
• Supporting the development of creative public affairs and communications strategies
• Overseeing the work of junior levels
• Proactively networking with a variety of contacts
• Supporting clients with everything from strategy to hands-on implementation

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• Background in Public Affairs
• Strong Tory network
• The ability to manage client accounts
• Detailed understanding of local and national government
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to manage and mentor junior team members
• An engaging self-starter with the ability to motivate
• A collaborator who can foster strong working relationships
• Excellent organisational skills
• An understanding of budgets and financial management
