PR Account Manager- Crisis/Issues/Risk

Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join a top, large integrated agency who is always one of the big names at PR Week’s Award ceremonies.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a newly launched team dedicated to crisis and risk. The team works cross discipline throughout the agency, supporting an enviable list of clients from crisis preparation through to response and post-crisis reputation rebuilding.

With practices across consumer, corporate and financial, healthcare, CSR and public affairs, all underpinned by PR, design, digital and social capabilities; they truly are a full service agency with an outstanding reputation.

Culturally, this agency has a low staff turnover, which can be attributed to their supportive, collaborative working environment. Their unique structure and culture has meant they’ve featured in The Sunday Times’ Best Company To Work For Top 100 list for over five years in a row.

Part of a wider integrated group, you’ll enjoy the benefits of shared resources which means you can expect free breakfast at the in-house cafe, gym discounts, childcare vouchers, pension, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme and much more!

The Role – Account Manager – Crisis & Risk

With the ability to progress rapidly, this growing team aims to create a flat structure - everyone on the team gets involved and there is a fantastic opportunity to learn and observe experienced individuals provide strategic advice.

This role requires an experienced (1-2 years +) crisis practitioner who can hit the ground running and support the team on several retained clients and projects.

Due to the nature of this practice, you will be required to work outside of business hours when crises break.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of bespoke client/sector specific crisis preparedness materials
  • Play an integral role during crisis response – material development, client liaison, media liaison and training exercises
  • Track industry trends and identify business opportunities for the crisis practice
  • Development of blogs and marketing materials which emphasise expertise and advice
  • Assist with new business preparation and pitching whilst maintaining prospect contacts
  • Keep up to date with the latest social media trends
