Account Manager – Food & Drink – Lovely Mid-Sized Agency - Flexible location either London or Buckinghamshire - to £37,000
 

My client is a fully rounded PR agency, experts at influencing a brand’s broad spectrum of stakeholders across fast paced sectors including food & drink, retail, fmcg and lifestyle. This is a super opportunity for an Account Manager with food and drinks brand experience to join a lovely mid-sized agency and work flexibly either from their Buckinghamshire head office or London office.

The Account Manager is responsible for providing counsel to a portfolio of clients; running integrated campaigns across traditional, digital and social platforms, as well as creating content and creative ideas on a day-to-day basis. In addition to client work, the Account Manager is responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing the junior team.

Job Specification:

Client Relations - Develop excellent working relationships and visibility with key management personnel in client companies to both gain their trust and respect and to secure long-term mutual business success.

Media Relations & Campaign Delivery - Ensure in-depth knowledge of the current media landscape and relevance for client brands and campaigns. Draft, gain approval for and issue press releases and feature information for all key launches and initiatives. Demonstrate a solid understanding of how media ideas can be translated across digital and social media channels.

Project Management - Oversee all the logistics for trade press briefings / publishing house tours / one on ones, e.g. booking venue, issuing invitations, arranging product samples and room decorations, handling presentations putting together press packs, etc. Manage upwards to ensure that senior team members are kept informed of developments.

Financial Management - Ensure excellent management of budgets and POs and monitor budgets on a monthly basis. Understand the construction of budgets within proposal writing.

Team Management - Collaborate effectively with the senior team to manage and coach junior team members and direct their day to day work. Identify areas for improvement and recommend training programmes to address these. Nurture the growth of team members.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Agency experience at AM level or strong SAE ready to step up
  • Previous Food and Drinks brand experience
  • Ideally at least some b2b/trade PR experience
  • Excellent writing skills (previous influencer or journalist experience desirable but not essential)
  • Experience delivering social media, content and influencer campaigns
  • Aptitude to build a network of influencers and journalists
  • Experience in driving content led strategies
  • Independent and entrepreneurial approach to work
  • Flair for creativity, strategic thinking and innovation
  • Demonstrable ability to learn new concepts quickly and challenge the status quo
  • High levels of communication - presentation, verbal and written skills
