Set up under the Gambling Act 2005, the Gambling Commission is committed to safeguarding the public against any detrimental impact brought about by gambling. We do this by keeping crime out, protecting children and vulnerable people and ensuring the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly and we work with the legal system, the public health system, community groups and the industry itself to understand how we can protect the interests of as many people as possible, as effectively as possible.

We’re now looking for a Digital Content Editor to manage our digital communications channels and ensure our content reaches and engages our stakeholders.

Joining our Communications team means being at the heart of everything we do. The team works with every department to communicate the Gambling Commission’s work and make sure we are not only being heard, but that we are engaging in real dialogue with our audiences. That means we are always coming up with new ways to speak to them, whether that’s politicians, the industry, consumers or colleagues within the Commission. The variety of audiences we speak to mean the work is diverse, interesting and challenging. It’s a growing team that’s helping set the agenda and shape public debate on high-profile issues relating to gambling.

As the Digital Content Editor, you’ll curate, manage and update the Commission’s digital communications channels.

Working in-line with our communications strategy, you’ll oversee content for our website, associated websites and social media channels. You’ll ensure that content is accessible, accurate, user-friendly, modern, consistent with other channels and communicates key messages.

You’ll deliver engaging and creative content, including infographics, video, surveys and downloadable tools, as well as creating, updating and reviewing content around the end-to-end user journey.

Interested? To be considered, you will need experience of the following:

- Developing, managing and updating websites
- Creating engaging digital content
- Managing social media channels
- Using and designing in SharePoint
