Our client, an award winning integrated consultancy with a particular pedigree in social issues, sustainability and behaviour change.

This collegiate, creative consultancy, which puts a big emphasis on their team’s work life balance, already work with a brilliant array of consumer brands, FMCG and public sector/not for profit brands, and are ideally looking for someone to set up and lead the business development function further for them.

The role: Business Development Director

This is a rare opportunity to become a pivotal team member and help generate an exciting and strong pipeline of new biz opportunities. Covering business development strategy, building your team, and most importantly bringing in and converting large-scale leads from FTSE 250 businesses and leading organisations to the business, through your networks and spotting new opportunities.

Key Attributes for Success:

  • Track record of successfully generating and nurturing new business leads
  •  Experience within charity/public sector or FMCG highly desirable but wider PR consumer / b2b sectors considered
  • Excellent communicator; clearly convey information and ideas in person and on ‘paper’
  • A natural networker; confident, can spot opportunities and enjoys attending events
  • Experience in dealing with C-suite and senior brand decision makers is essential
  • A little black book of relevant contacts, prospects and leads
  • Highly personable; able to build trust and strong client relationships
  • Know how to develop new business strategies, and got the results to prove it
  • Attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Super organised and able to manage projects from start to finish
  • A team player
  • Proactive and willing to get stuck in
  • Experience of working in a busy agency environment
  • Passionate about making the world a better place, especially through purpose driven business
