Job Details
My client, a successful tech company operating in the travel and tourism industry is looking for an experienced Communications Manager for the European market. The ideal candidate would have an extensive B2B Public Relations experience, with emphasis on media relations, thought leadership and crisis communications.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Full accountability for communication programmes across Europe and key markets ensuring measurable outcomes
* Working alongside global communications teams and cooperate with marketing, executive, customer-facing teams
* Implementation of the media relations strategy, developing existing media relations and generating new contacts
* Maintaining direct contact with the public, media and varied range of businesses
* Create content for press releases, articles, media statements
* Working closely with Head of Comms and country managers
* Collaboration with various partner teams, utilising traditional PR and social media
* Acting at all times as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistency of key media coverage
* Dealing with media enquiries and interview requests
* Based in Berkshire (car provided) with some international travel involved
Main requirements:
* Strong PR, B2B experience, agency or in-house (agency preferred)
* Proven record of producing successful public relations campaigns, both locally and internationally
* Experience in media relations and crisis communications
* Experience in working as a company spokesman (ideally trained)
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Able to work independently, prioritise and multi-task
* Social media experience
* Strong relationships with local and international media outlets
* Creative and collaborative way of working
