The Role
The Communications Office is driving forward a programme of work to better align communications resource across the House of Commons behind the organisation’s strategic priorities. This new role, working to a new Head of media, planning and external affairs will have a key part to play in this - working closely with the Communications Director. The primary purpose of this new post, is to work with communicators within the team and across the organisation to identify, develop and introduce a new way of communication planning across the whole of the House of Commons.

The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering effective communications strategies and plans underpinned by robust evaluation programmes.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and changing deadlines.
