Strategic Relationships Manager

Employer
General Medical Council
Location
London (Central), London (Greater)
Salary
£42,261 to £46,997
Closing date
24 Feb 2019

This is an excellent opportunity to make the most of your relationship management skills and lead a brand new team that will help the General Medical Council (GMC) build stronger relationships with a diverse range of health organisations.

The GMC helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and take action when they are not met.

We cannot achieve this mission by ourselves. As our new Strategic Relationships Manager, you’ll transform the way we manage our relationships and help us to deliver our ambitious corporate strategy. Working with a variety of colleagues, you’ll manage partner engagement activities, identify opportunities for improving our relationships, and develop an in-depth understanding of mutual issues, agendas and goals.

This interesting role in a complex, fast-paced environment will see you providing strategic advice, evaluating the health of our major relationships and managing the creation of development plans, and overseeing the production of regular briefings and updates using our stakeholder management system. You’ll have external affairs experience, ideally in healthcare. Shaping processes and the future direction of your team, you must be an excellent communicator who can lead change and connect with people at the highest of levels.

A great organisation to work for, we can offer you good opportunities to develop your skills and career and offer benefits such as:

  • A good pension
  • 25 days’ holiday a year, increasing by one day for each year of service up to a maximum of 30 days
  • Health screens
  • Interest free ticket loans
  • Exclusive discounts
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Flexi-working

If you’re a talented manager who feels they can make a positive impact on our external relationships, please apply now.
