The Timber Trade Federation is the UK’s foremost membership body for the timber supply chain. We act as the guardian of product standards, quality and sustainability in the timber market.
We have a strict Code of Conduct for our members. This ensures that timber placed onto the UK market is responsibly sourced and conforms to various quality assurance frameworks. Buying from a TTF member means buying timber you can trust.
We are looking for a Policy & Project Coordinator to develop the timber markets and improve our representation with political influencers.
Your role
- Organise and manage the TTF's Working Groups, ensuring members are engaged, agendas are driven forward, and all projects are completed within deadlines
- Technical and policy research
- Communicate on technical and policy issues to members
- Develop training & guidance resources for members and their customers
- Plan, organise and deliver seminars and events
- Organise and manage relationship with the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG)
About you
- Knowledge and experience of construction products, timber or builders merchant sectors
- Experience in managing PR, stakeholder management and communication projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrable copywriting skills
- Knowledge of the wider political environment and how this impacts on the timber supply chain
- Knowledge of social and online media tools and techniques
