Communications Manager

Employer
DACS
Location
Bethnal Green, East London
Salary
£30,000 - £35,000
Closing date
27 Mar 2019

It is an exciting time at DACS, as we begin to implement a new three-year strategy, so you will be busy. The role will be guided by clear objectives and there will be room to think creatively, work independently and take on exciting responsibilities.

As a Communications Manager you will be working as part of a small team to support the reputational and commercial objectives of the organisation. We work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver communications and marketing plans that support our services. We also take an active role in planning and implementing activity to recruit new artist members. Also, you will take a leading role in our campaigning activity and planning and delivery of our curated events programme. You will also act as an ambassador for the organisation, attending external events and developing our partner network.

About you

You will be a creative and collaborative individual, who can see the big picture, while having great attention to detail. Written and verbal communication skills will be of the highest standard. You will be able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver activity that meets their objectives.

You will have a demonstrable track record of delivering effective communications activity across a range of channels. We also advise and implement visual communication materials, so a good eye for design is important. Core skills include:

  • Drafting compelling marketing, invitation and campaigning copy
  • Event planning and delivery
  • Developing design briefs for external suppliers
  • Independent project management skills
  • Working with junior team members to review and improve content and copy
  • Planning and delivering social media content

You should be able to work flexibly, manage your time effectively and deliver multiple projects in parallel.
