Associate Director - Healthcare PR Team - Social Media Focus

A leading global communications agency is looking for an Associate Director with significant healthcare experience to join its Healthcare team in London. This is a key hire for the team with a focus on helping to shape the social health service across the agency, spanning pharma, biotech, consumer health and wellbeing. This is a hybrid role helping to bridge the Social & Innovation and Healthcare practices.

You will create and manage the social health offering and you will lead the development of compelling social health strategies and channel plans. You will provide senior strategic counsel across healthcare clients and you will be responsible for motivating, guiding and managing your direct reports. You will also be involved in developing new business by identifying opportunities and leading proposals and pitches.

To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and experience:

*Significant healthcare communications experience gained from working in an agency environment
*Proven track record in developing and leading integrated communications programmes for healthcare clients where social media has been a key element
*Experience of working with multiple stakeholders within an integrated agency environment
*Thorough understanding of the pharma regulatory environment both in the UK and the region
*Excellent client handling skills
*Solid team management experience
