PR Manager

EMR are working with a Top10 global law firm, headquartered in London, to recruit a PR Manager on a 1 year FTC. The PR Manager will lead on corporate reputation for the firm in London, and will also support partners across financial services, Africa and Continental Europe.

Taking a proactive and reactive approach to PR, they will manage media relations, reputational risk, and enhance the firm's reputation around key topics and issues.

In London, the PR Manager will also support the Managing Partner with key announcements, such as: financial results, Diversity&Inclusion, recruitment initiatives, the gender pay gap, and Brexit.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Enhance, manage and drive the PR strategy, taking a reactive and proactive to public relations


• Provide counsel and communications support to senior stakeholders in London, Africa and Continental Europe


• Build relationships with key media contacts at national and trade press level, introduce them to partners, and help prepare partners for interviews and shape their own personal brands


• Work with the wider marketing and BD teams to create integrated communications campaigns aligned to wider strategic objectives


• Drive quality and quantity of media coverage in London, and advise Africa on Europe on how they can improve their coverage

Your skills and experience will include:

• Excellent PR and communications experience in legal, professional or financial services. Ideally within a partner lead organisation


• Brilliant media relations skills - proven experience of driving coverage and building relationships with the media


• Proven ability to provide communications counsel to senior stakeholders, including managing partners, and internationally based stakeholders


• A team player, with experience of creating integrated campaigns with marketing and BD teams


• Proven experience of defending the reputation of a business
