Southbank Centre is one of the most dynamic and interesting places you could hope to work in. We are looking for a highly creative and proactive Head of Media Relations to help develop a media strategy that significantly boosts the profile of the organisation and the key figures within it. You will provide clarity and structure to our many competing stories and ensure that we achieve cut through and impact. Using your exceptional copywriting and proofreading skills you’ll be writing compelling press documents, briefing notes, speeches, positioning statements and quotes. You’ll be meticulously organised and will thrive in a fast-paced and ever changing creative environment and you will provide inspirational leadership to a busy team. As Head of Media Relations you will bring to the post your extensive contacts in print, digital and broadcast media and will be comfortable briefing national and international press at the highest level. You will have previous senior level press and media experience ideally within the arts or culture sector.

Contract: Full time, 18 month fixed term contract
