Senior PR Executive

EMR are working with a Magic Circle law firm to recruit a Senior PR Executive on a permanent basis in London.

Working closely with the Head of PR and wider PR team, the Senior PR Executive will support the UK offices, managing partners, and the firm's practices with reactive and proactive communications.

The role will suit an astute, confident individual, capable of forming long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders: from partners, to lawyers, business support colleagues and journalists.

As part of the firm's busy press office, the Senior PR Executive's key responsibilities will include:

• Provide communications counsel to practice areas and business support units and senior PR Managers to develop and deliver PR plans aligned to wider business strategy


• Generate media coverage, through proactive media relations work: provide comment, feature pitches and working with internal stakeholders to prepare briefings


• Draft press releases on client work and news about the firm, and quickly and effectively manage media inquiries


• Build effective relationships with key journalists and the firm's spokespeople, including key national and international business media and trade press


• Manage media briefings, including advising spokespeople on media handling and arranging media training where appropriate

Your skills and experience will include:

• Experience of working in a busy PR and media relations environment, preferably in agency and legal or professional services environments


• Demonstrable ability to achieve media coverage that supports an organisation's strategic goals


• Excellent media relations skills, with evidence of good media relationships and delivering coverage at a national, and trade press level


• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels, and ability to provide counsel to senior leaders
