Head of PR & Marketing - Southern Home Counties - £60-65k

Scrumptious opportunity for a passionate foodie to take up a senior role in a growing, successful, independent restaurant business, based in its head office (Southern Home Counties).

This newly created position will report to the Founder and is one of a number of key hires for 2019 marking the start of journey to build a large in house marketing and communications function, to support the growth of the business over the coming years.

Exciting times lay ahead since the 30 restaurants currently offering international cuisine with real provenance will soon be joined by 20 more during this year. Strong financial results coupled with a growing interest in the brand will ensure expansion both in terms of site numbers and geographical diversity.

The role:

• Develop a strategic and tactical PR and Marketing programme that supports the brand
• Build on grass roots success with media and influencers
• Deliver strong earned media results across multiple platforms
• Work closely with content leader to develop engaging marketing material and brand assets
• Grow a team of PR and Marketing professionals from the ground up

The role is based in the Head Office but by February 2020 the company will also have a South London satellite office meaning the PR and Marketing team can divide their time between these offices as well as spending time at the restaurants – so no two weeks need be the same!

Person criteria:

• Between nine and 13 years experience in a PR environment
• Experience of working in the food, drink or hospitality space
• Experience of leading earned media communications strategies
• Excellent industry contacts including media
• Good understanding of social media, content and influencer landscape
• Experience of people-management, training and development
• Passionate Foodie!
