More than 50 million children in the world suffer from severe malnutrition but only a shocking 20 per cent receive treatment. Action Against Hunger’s vision is a world free from hunger and we believe we have the expertise to ensure every child will one day get the treatment they need while contributing to a decline in malnutrition rates. 

We are seeking a PR and media professional to help increase our brand awareness, income and influence by promoting our key messages and campaigns to target audiences.

If you have extensive media and PR experience across print, broadcast, social and digital media, ideally gained from the commercial sector, and you are looking for a new role in which you can make a real difference in the world, this position offers an exciting challenge.

Working closely with our fundraising, communications and advocacy teams, you will be responsible for devising and delivering PR and media plans that: promote our fundraising events and campaigns in conjunction with the food and hospitality industry; that raise awareness of hunger-related issues; and that position Action Against Hunger as leading experts on tackling child malnutrition.

You will be adept at strategically cultivating relationships with key journalists, editors, PR agencies, influencers and other strategic partners - especially but not exclusively related to the food and hospitality industry - and you will have a good eye for an engaging story, a powerful message and cut-through content. You will be confident as a spokesperson for the charity and will be able to handle crisis media and reputational risk expertly. You will be insights-driven, regularly using audience insight, media monitoring and data analytics tools to inform your plans and tactics.

We are looking to recruit a passionate and dedicated individual who is keen to join our team and use their extensive experience in the fight against child hunger.
