Account Manager/Senior Account Manager – Travel PR – Top International Agency

We are looking for an Account Manager to join this leading agency’s growing Travel team. You will handle core public relations and social media/digital tasks including establishing media relationships, influencer engagement, writing and developing client updates, drafting media materials, event organisation, press trips and more. We are looking for highly creative, socially-savvy and integrated players who know how to bring both strategic and smart, and big and scrappy thinking to the table.

Their travel, tourism and hospitality experience ranges from promoting countries to launching new airlines, from building the reputations of cruise lines to raising the profile of global hospitality and tour operator brands. Tourist boards, airlines, tour operators, hotels, car rental companies, and travel associations all turn to these guys for their UK business.

You will drive the client account and report to the Account Director. You need to be capable and a confident operator who has a thorough understanding of the required media and has very strong communication skills.

The role

• Writing coherent and factually accurate press releases
• Driving the media relations programme for all clients
• Playing the central role in the team and take full responsibility for your clients and any problems
• Motivating and supervise a team

The candidate

• Strong communications skills: written and spoken
• Good understanding of UK’s media landscape, in particular good contacts in the travel and tourism media
• Competent in all verbal approaches to journalists – consumer, b2b and trade
