Job Details

·     A confident conversation-starter, excited and motivated to pick up the phone, sell in and secure coverage in key media titles as well as forming relationships with press and influencers  

 

·     Develops media intelligence, planning and contacts, focusing on supporting the long-term client strategy, owning the long range press office planning, client evaluation and reporting process and campaign KPIs

 

·     Supports account teams in delivering exceptional campaign content, executing events, securing media coverage and measuring success through compiling coverage reports

 

EXPERTISE SKILLS

·     Understands and identifies strong news angles and media opportunities

 

·     Creates engaging press releases and compelling content for both traditional and digital media, securing on-going regular media opportunities such as columns and Q&As

 

·     Researches and updates master media lists, demonstrating full knowledge and understanding of PR tasks from press cuttings, media evaluation, critical paths, managing suppliers to achieve campaign delivery

 

·     Monitors relevant news sources and alerts the teams to breaking news relevant to clients

 

·     Tracks, measures and reports on media relations activities

 

·     Builds and maintains strong relationships both within the agency and externally with media, suppliers and networks, developing a high standard of communication that is both concise and persuasive

 

·     Demonstrates strong writing skills and a creative flair when creating compelling written content, editing, proof-reading and compiling documents and presentations with a meticulous eye for detail

 

·     Works with teams to ensure client delivery effectively and efficiently, ensuring an adaptable approach with team members to meet priorities and deadlines

 

·     Works under pressure with a commitment to working to high standards and serving the client as the first priority

 

·     Demonstrates excellent organisation skills, supports the teams in event planning, logistics, execution and follow-up

 

·     Develops an excellent knowledge of client sector, being fully immersed in the client’s industry, brand, competition and trends

 

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

·     Demonstrates financial responsibility, showcasing good budget management with the ability to work to tight budgets

 

·     Diligent, ensuring financial admin is kept up to date and compliance with the agency’s financial and commercial requirements, including raising POs, maintaining timesheets and completing expense forms to appropriate timescales

 

 

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

·     Works with teams to support new opportunities and working practices, researching and generating new ideas and opportunities to ensure campaign success

 

·     Demonstrates excellent ability to diary manage and prioritise tasks in order of importance to ensure delivery

 

·     Represents the agency and acts as an ambassador at events, agency initiatives and when networking

 

TEAM MANAGEMENT

·     Works cohesively and collaboratively with teams, coordinating and prioritising workload, effectively anticipating areas in need of assistance

 

·     Continually seeks feedback from the teams on approach and attitude, demonstrating a passion to develop self, and gain skills and experience from the teams
