PR & Marketing Executive

Our client is an amazing, start up in the bespoke pet food space.  They soft launched at Crufts and are now looking to push the brand forward by getting someone on board as PR & Marketing Executive.  They know they don't want "PR by numbers", they know they was someone who is ready to break the rules, remake those rules and make their company a media and marketing sensation.They are firmly in the healthy eating space, offering tailor made nutritious and, above all, convenient pet food.  There is technology to back this up and to enable pet owners to make the right choices.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Plan and create creative PR and marketing strategies alongside the company founders and the digital project manager.
• Work with the in house vet on thought leadership and content
• Write press materials and pitch to the pet, consumer lifestyle and national media
• Content creation for social media and the website
• Work with advertising agency

The Candidate must have:

• Strong experience in the consumer PR space, ideally in the pet food or food and drink space, but a passion for pets is essential
• An established list of contacts in the consumer lifestyle and national media
•  A proactive nature and forward-thinking mind-set
•  Accustomed to a fast-paced and exhilarating environment
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to produce impressive content under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Wordpress or CMS would be a big plus
