Account Director or strong Senior Account Manager - Corporate/B2B - Top PR Agency – Camden – between £40,000 and £50,000 depending on experience, plus benefits & genuine career progression

My client is a super PR agency, with offices in London, New York and Paris. Based in Camden, they won Agency of the Year at the EMEA Sabre Awards. They help brands tell their stories through all means of content, whether words, pictures or moving image, build their reputation through emotional connections and solve their communications problems. 

My client is now seeking an Account Director or a strong Senior Account Manager with corporate/b2b PR experience to join the friendly team and work across a really varied range of prestigious brands and clients including the international conference to address the impact of climate change on the world's oceans, the entrepreneur of the year awards in Monaco and the world's leading Magazine on economic matters.

SUMMARY OF JOB:

  • Support and manage the key Corporate clients with client servicing, production management, and media outreach within the corporate portfolio
  • Lead on delivery of day to day media activation and client servicing of owned accounts within given portfolio
  • Support strategic direction of existing clients and support the introduction of new clients and business within the sector
  • Support the Associate Director as well as individually generating new business across the company 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key account servicing and campaign management:

  • Deliver the execution of client strategy campaigns & projects for a client portfolio, demonstrating an understanding of client business objectives, target audiences, and budgetary constraints
  • Establish a good day to day working relationship with clients – liaising with them on projects and activity when required
  • Responsible for liaison with production, creative and new business to ensure collaborative approach to client opportunities
  • Project manage content heavy global PR campaigns for key clients from briefing stage to execution (status updates, briefs, WIPS, evaluations etc)
  • Work alongside production teams on delivery of campaigns, ensuring they are fully briefed on any projects (eg timings, key messages, branding, client and media requirements, etc)
  • Ensure campaigns are kept up to date on the Digital News Agency (DNA)

Global media relations:

  • Deliver a high level of media coverage – demonstrating strong media relations skills to sell-in stories and content (eg broadcast, online and print) across a range of media in the UK and Global
  • Assist in the development and implementation of global media campaigns – demonstrating excellent news sense, an ability to generate original and smart storylines and news hooks for campaigns from conceptual stage to execution  
  • Help develop and write PR materials such as press releases
  • Help manage media relations activity onsite at events, such as press launches
  • Ensure global database of relevant media contacts is maintained

Team management and leadership:

  • Develop and lead team’s understanding and growth of global media network – broadcast and digital
  • Plan, motivate and lead the activities of Junior staff

Business Development:

  • Participation in the pitch process

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • PR Agency experience in Corporate/b2b PR with an ability to develop campaigns across business, tech, finance, sustainability, health and healthcare
  • Global Media Relations and PR, understanding of social media, paid media and other media products relevant in industry including podcasts, platforms and Content creation for multiple audiences (earned, owned and paid)
  • A strong understanding of the global media landscape
  • An established network of media contacts
  • A good understanding of social and emerging media
  • Exceptionally strong writing skills, with the ability to write appropriately for differing requirements (eg press releases, messaging documents, website copy, etc)
  • Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • Ability to manage a multitude of assignments at once and prioritise accordingly
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to both work as part of a team as well as individually
