The Role

This Account Director role will see you taking on key senior strategic and creative client-facing responsibilities. Reporting to senior management teams and managing AE’s and AM’s, you will be responsible for

Key responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Engage with clients to form strategic relationships. Provide insight and partnership across all areas of the communications spectrum, as well as delivering added-value consultancy.
  • Media Relations: Maximise media relations activity for the client using strong networks and contacts. Recognise and create media opportunities in line with wider industry activity.
  • Content, Digital & Social Media: Oversee the creation of immaculate, engaging and high quality content. Work collaboratively with clients to develop and implement an impactful content strategy. Recognise social media trends and proactively promote new tools to evolve and optimise client offerings.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Ensure profitability on all accounts whilst effectively managing budgets. Communicate team performance internally and provide strategic advice.
  • Team Collaboration: Take overall leadership responsibility for your team, including coaching, supervision, assessment and reviews. Set team objectives and monitor activity levels against budgets, negotiating with clients where necessary.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Key requirements:

  • Highly commercial, with strong strategic client consultancy skills
  • Relevant experience of working in a B2B, corporate or digital communications agency environment at a Senior Account Manager or Account Director level
  • Well versed in social media and the integration of digital marketing into the PR landscape 
  • A track record of retention and the profitable growth of existing accounts
  • Considered, assertive and influential; a leader with the aptitude to develop and motivate a team
  • Able to provide consultancy on PR requirements as well as broader marketing strategy
  • Demonstrable success at securing new business and increasing client revenues
