Founded in 1830, this charity is UK’s learned society and professional body for geography and geographers. It has an international reputation and a global membership of 16,000 providing intellectual, financial and volunteer support. Their programme of public, policy and educational engagement with audiences reaches several million people each year through events, their popular magazine: Geographical, and their online resources.

They are seeking a talented individual with strong storytelling skills and experience of working in a press office to join their communications team. This is a new role dedicated to raising awareness of geography and promoting the organisation’s wide-ranging activities to a large audience through both traditional and social media.

Reporting to the Head of Public Engagement and Communications, this is an exciting time to join the team and further develop their press and social media presence.
