PR Account Director (Food/Drink/Hospitality)

Have a passion for food and drink and hospitality PR? An exciting opportunity has arisen to get involved with one of the UK's most dynamic boutique PR agencies, working on a number of their food/drink/hospitality clients. Major Players are seeking a confident and proactive candidate with proven consumer food/drink/hospitality expertise and a passion for these sectors.

The client is seeking a candidate that has at least 4 year's agency experience working within food/drinks/hospitality PR with excellent consumer media contacts within this sector, UK and international. Strong writing skills, a creative outlook and an organised approach is a must. You will have experience in client handling, media relations, social media, influencer marketing and writing. The ideal candidate will be eager to help win new business and be part of growing the business.


Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

At least four year's agency experience
Excellent consumer food/drink/hospitality/food media contacts, UK and internationally
Social media savvy, experienced with digital and influencer outreach
Strong writing skills, creative approach and a proven track record in facilitating creative media campaigns. from start to finish
Ability to generate strong coverage in target media by proactively selling stories and feature ideas to media targets through face-to-face to face meetings, attendance at networking events and regular communication
Highly organised with a proactive approach and strong attention to detail
Excellent grasp of clients' marketplaces, audiences and industry developments
Commercially astute and decisive
Ability to manage budgets, and also benchmark PR results
Ability to support new business pitches
The ability to find opportunities to grow existing accounts plus develop & convert new business opportunities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - including print, social media and event
Confident networker and with an impressive media contact book
Strong team leader with the ability to be hands on, lead by example, mentor and inspire junior team members
Prepare regular client reports
Oversee the collating, analysing and evaluating of media coverage; circulating to relevant clients
Computer literate - word, excel, powerpoint
