Junior PR Executive
We’re looking for a highly organised and methodical individual to join our ever-growing agency as a Junior PR Executive. This is an exciting new role created due to expansion and will be working to support our PR team in exciting and innovative sectors such as leisure, finance and aviation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning, talented, creative and friendly team, and the perfect first step into the PR world.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Collating data as requested and populating into desired output e.g. deck and/or spreadsheets
- Day to day administration of compiling press cuttings and media database research to support the wider team
- Compiling media lists and ensuring contact details are kept up to date
- Report generation focusing on achieved coverage, and releases and release dates
- Accurately following internal processes which will include project management of creative and artwork
- Compiling project status reports
- Communicating effectively with key clients, giving them confidence in your abilities and an understanding of the work that’s required
- Relationship building and regular liaison with journalists
- Be a point of contact for clients on day to day matters
Experience / skills required
- A keen demonstratable interest in the news and media
- A genuine love of the English language with strong creative writing ability
- Social media savvy
- Proactive, personable and self-motivated
- High attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills
- A PR or journalism degree is desirable
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Confident in dealing with a variety of stakeholders both internally and at Client / supplier level
- Strong and methodical approach to administration
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes; especially Excel
Remuneration / Hours
- Salary £competitive
- Annual holiday entitlement of 20 days, rising to 25 days after 5 years of service
- Normal working hours from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday, though a degree of flexibility will be required
