The role

My clients’ PR team is looking to recruit an Account Director to support its rapidly expanding client base; mainly in the financial services sector. The role will involve client account management, strategic advice, media engagement and account team coordination, as well as playing an integral part in new business and the growth of the PR offering.

This role will give you lots of responsibility/autonomy from day one. You’ll be running a third of the corporate comms book of clients which is an amazing opportunity!

Skills required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-6 years’ experience in Corporate/Financial Services PR;
  • Agency experience with impeccable client handling skills;
  • Experience in financial services communications;
  • Strong people management and development skills and experience;
  • Excellent writing capabilities;
  • An ability to learn about a broad range of topics quickly;
  • Excellent understanding of the client/agency relationship and commercial environment;
  • A willingness to multi-task and support the wider business wherever necessary; and
  • Be sensitive to handling confidential information.
