Head of Consumer Health and Issues PR

A well-established independent PR agency with a growing consumer healthcare team needs someone to head up their health and issues team, building on a range of existing accounts which include crisis and issues for OTC, corporate support and UK media relations.
Working on a range of consumer health and wellbeing briefs for big name and big brand clients, you will have the chance to build the healthcare PR division at this independent, central London PR agency.

• Genuinely varied clients across wellbeing, lifestyle, health, education and consumer sectors

The head of healthcare’s job:

• Producing high quality content, often covering complex subject matter
• Lead accounts including strategy, senior client relationship management, development of new ideas and PR activities, high level media and influencer relations, pro-active planning and financial reporting
• Managing delivery of client programmes including planning, content development, media and influencer relations activity, measurement and reporting
• Managing, supporting and coaching the team to ensure delivery across accounts
• Establish multiple relationships within client organisations including members of the PR and marketing teams, key spokespeople, and other primary members of the internal PR buying un

You:

• With healthcare PR experience in an agency or on big healthcare brands, you are passionate about consumer health and wellbeing
• Great with people, clients and internal staff alike.
• Digital and social media savvy
• Evidence of responsibility for creating and directing successful healthcare programmes within a consultancy environment, either consumer or ethical.
