A global business are looking to recruit an experienced SENIOR PR MANAGER into their UK Communications team to be the external voice of the business in the UK.

Working within a small but talented team and reporting into the Head of Communications the remit of this role will be varied and responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing the PR plan for the UK and the business positioning with national, local and regional media

  • Provide PR support to the UK leadership team on organisational objectives

  • Be the spokesperson for UK media

  • Manage the day to day relationship with an external PR agency

  • Support the business with event communications, identify key spokespeople and prepare them for interviews and media coverage

  • Build strong relationships with the UK media and secure favourable coverage in the UK, providing materials as needed (press releases, editorials)

  • Be the external stakeholder voice internally

  • Cover and support the Internal Communications activities of the business

  • Monitor UK social media/media/news

  • Provide out of hours press office support as and when necessary

Key skills and experience for the role include:

  • Press office experience including strategic planning

  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal

  • Confidence in working independently and a strong background in PR to draw on

  • Excellent relationship skills and ideally a network of media contacts within the UK

  • Exceptional team player

  • Issue and crisis management experience

  • Experience of working within a matrix environment
