An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join one of the biggest FMCG retailers as a Head of Business Partner & Internal Communications, with responsibility for building and protecting trust amongst colleagues and stakeholders.

The Role – Head of Business Partner & Internal Communications

This role is a very broad and exciting position made up of three key areas:

  • Business Partnering [approximately 50%] – working collaboratively with senior leaders across the business, creating communications packs to deliver core narratives
  • Internal Communications [25%] – co-ordinating and working across the whole of the business to ensure consistency of message and a joined up approach; including overseeing content on owned and social communications channels
  • Employee Brand [25%] – working in close conjunction with the people team to oversee and deliver these activities

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate they can master a topic and has experience of very senior level interactions daily. 


A full job spec can be provided upon application but key responsibilities will include:

  • Business Partnering: working collaboratively with senior leaders from across the business to identify and respond to changes that impact the business and oversee, through the team, the creation of strategic communication plans for colleagues and external audiences
  • Providing sound advice and guidance to stakeholders to deliver complex and sensitive messages, including change projects and crisis communications
  • Internal Comms: overseeing content on owned and social communication channels ensure messages are delivered to relevant audience in a compelling, accurate and timely way
  • Overseeing Employer Brand and D&I Comms, working in collaboration with the People team
  • Developing and leading a high performing team

In return:

  • A salary of £75,000 - £100,000 DOE
    Annual bonus up to 45% of annual salary
