Job Details
This leading international animal welfare charity is seeking a PR professional at around SAE level with around 2-4 years experience to join them. You will need experience of working in consumer PR and/or charity/issues campaigns and all importantly, be very well versed and experienced in the social/digital world.
You will be working closely with the Head of Communications by helping build the profile of the organisation and its many high profile projects across traditional media and digital platforms. You will be delivering a wide range of digital/social communications campaigns working with the oversees digital and fundraising teams and the UK team based in London. Most of the remit is UK focus with some international elements too.
Your role will involve you in monitoring social activity and building their online presence so everything from trend spotting and acting as a brand guardian across all forms of content in the UK, to community management of all social channels to conducting research to support comms, projects and initiatives. You'll be involved in the strategic planning and development of comms plans as well as dealing with press enquiries and liaising with journalists to secure coverage.
You will need:
Strong writing skills
Experience in media relations and knowledge of the UK media landscape, particularly online
Experience of working across social/digital campaigns and have relevant contacts and knowledge in this area
Experience gained in a PR agency, ideally with some integrated experience and knowledge of working across a variety of comms channels
An interest/passion about animal welfare
