2018 was a great year for this global network firm; they delivered award-winning work across the agency, added several world-renowned brands to their portfolio, welcomed multi-award winning social creative agency and ended the year in double-digit growth! 2019 is on target to be much bigger and better and they’re looking for an EVP Global Digital Client Lead to continue this journey to the next level!

The EVP Global Digital Client Lead is a newly created role that will partner a tight senior leadership team on a major pharmaceutical account (including Overall Global Client lead, Creative Director and soon to be appointed Strategist as well as in-house build specialists). This is an opportunity for you to create ground-breaking work alongside one of their most progressive and ambitious clients, on a global scale, that will dramatically improve people’s lives.

The client is one of the firm’s largest clients globally - you will be partnering with digital-savvy and ambitious individuals keen to break the mold and change the digital landscape in the healthcare/pharmaceutical space with truly innovative work. Together, they are partnering to empower people to live healthier lives. This is a dream brief for a grown-up Digital leader and trailblazer in health communications.

At the broadest level, the client wants people to be able to access personalised health services, anywhere, anytime. The firm’s role is to partner with the client to achieve that from both communications and increasingly, a technology perspective. Whilst social is a significant part of the remit, they are also looking at building upon the work they have delivered in digital services and omni-channel engagement. Specifically, this means looking at how they grow from community management and support on platforms such as Facebook to build upon their successful early work in developing a chatbot that provides ongoing patient support. It means looking at Connected Devices and developing the patient portal.

It will also mean leading their Health and Digital teams dedicated to this client around the world in better understanding the patient, carer and/or HCP journey (as appropriate) across Activation & Awareness, Diagnosis, Treatment, Adherence and Continuous Care. All the above is built upon the client’s’ desire to create connections to engage, empower and activate patients, caregivers and HCP’s on their journey to better outcomes and improve quality of life.

  • They have an ongoing and highly productive client relationship, both the client and agency have big ambitions to accelerate the progress and together become the leading player in healthcare.
  • In-depth knowledge of the client organization, as well as having a team that know & understands the healthcare space better than just about anyone.
  • Significant investments have been made in individual hires and in acquisitions covering Data & Analytics, Creative Technology, Service Design, Social Strategy and Content and Production. they have alot of people who will be there to support and inspire in equal measure.
  • You will have the full backing of their global agency leadership to ensure that you succeed.                       

Day to day

  • Act as global client lead and an ambassador for all things digital. Live and breathe Healthcare (Rx) and Digital.
  • Lead and inspire a team of dedicated health and digital specialists
  • Construct and drive an omni-channel digital strategy for the client
  • Work in close partnership with a core leadership group here in London (with close alignment to colleagues in the US)
  • Through success, develop the relationship and drive revenue growth 

Ideal experience required:

  • A digital native with proven experience of having executed innovational work
  • Strong knowledge and passion for pioneering tech
  • Proven exposure to the healthcare/pharmaceuticals sector  
  • Strong commercial acumen - having grown developed large accounts
  • Strong management and networking experience - the ability to bring together, lead and inspire a team.
  • Experienced in working in, and getting the most from, a network agency. The ability to navigate complex businesses and matrix environments
  • Success of delivering projects / campaigns with tangible deliverables
  • Knowledgeable as to what patients, carers and HCP’s each need from big businesses like Novartis and what they need from their Comms and Digital Services.
  • Strong understanding of data to drive strategic decisions
