Sports Events Communications Manager

A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Sports Events Communications Manager to join one of the world’s largest and most well-known brands. Your role would be to help them to compose and deliver communications activity that helps to build consumer knowledge of the brand and their product.

Responsibilities:

  • Help to spread awareness about the company’s sporting events (BIKING, MOTOR SPORTS, ADVENTURE and GAMING)
  • Compose and deliver editorial content such as moving images
  • Organise campaign objectives and choose media cannels
  • Helping to explain story angles
  • Oversee on-site press office
  • Compose exciting stories from athletes to be put into both external media channels and the company’s own channels
  • Make sure that all media coverage is assessed to aid concerns and priorities in the future
  • Help in the process of event management

Requirements:

  • Evidence of experience working in communications or PR within sport
  • Experience of overseeing sports events communications campaigns
  • Experience of working and communicating with distinguished athletes
  • Experience delivering news through web and social
  • Experience composing engaging video content
  • Knowledge and interest of the sports industry
  • Solid sports media contacts
  • Creative, organised and results orientated
  • Self-motivator
  • Ability to guide a larger team
  • Experience working alongside large global consumer brands
  • Experience organising large events both locally and internationally
  • Must be fluent in both spoken and written English

  • 20%
