Job Details

My client is an exciting and fairly new agency with a difference, that has three extremely creative and intelligent founders, that exist to bring depth to an industry categorised by the superficial! They combine world-class consulting with world-class creative and believe the best ‘corporate’ work should be deeply creative, and that the best creative work helps build corporate reputation.

Their vision is to work with a point of difference.  Their ethos is not only focused on the end result, but how this work is delivered, who produces the work and what team members are brought on board to help them with this vision.  The agency has a core team, which is continually growing and now with a year or so now under their belt and some amazing tier one corporate clients on board, both retained and project work, they are building relationships with CEO’s and MD’s of huge global businesses.  Alongside these clients, they are also developing a pool of senior professionals from all sectors with varied expertise, to potentially be consultants to the business, as and when relevant projects and business arises.

In addition to the above, the agency has worked hard to create a pool of creatives, that similarly will be asked to join them as and when they are needed for certain campaigns and projects.  This group of creatives are formed of creative directors, producers, production managers, creative strategists, illustrators, content managers and so forth, generally anyone that is within the creative field and that will be a valued team member for when a suitable piece of work requires their expertise. This group of talented individuals is growing all the time and each person has come on board with the belief they have and see the vision of the agency and their way of thinking around communications and how creative and corporate combine together.

So, to the role; this hire is a ‘Head of Creatives’, maybe, title to be confirmed!  This is of course a hire that has not been recruited before, given the agency is relatively new and is an investment hire to the business. The main purpose of the role is to:

a) Be a creative with a proven track record to be able to manage and lead client meetings as and when needed.  This is for someone that knows creative and has a vision for all things creative.

b) To manage the exciting process of seeking out new talent to come on board and join this current pool of creatives.

c) Be the point of contact for this pool of talent, ensuring the agency news and progression is shared and these creatives are excited and eager to join them when they take the call, whether that be two months or two years down the line.  How the process of ensuring these relationships are kept, is one of the main tasks that the ideal candidate will be given and discussed in the interview process.

The agency envisages this to be a person that maybe doesn’t want to be client facing all the time anymore, who doesn’t want the ‘big idea’ responsibility all the time, who is currently at a comms agency as a Creative Director, who for whatever reason is looking for a change in job role, though keeping their knowledge and passion having been a creative,  and who is excited to liaise and work with other creatives to shout about the agency and ultimately deliver amazing work for the clients.

This role could also suit an ex-industry creative, that now holds a recruitment role for this sector. You may not want to continue with recruitment, but still use your skills and knowledge of recruitment and the industry, to try your hand at this exciting new opportunity, helping to build a platform that can be strengthened over time to come.

The agency will allow you to work in your own way and fit with the culture of flexi time / hours,  working from home as and when needed / wanted and generally being less stressed when helping to ensure the agencies structure is strong and of course, have that client contact as and when needed.  This role could suit someone that initially or for the long-term is looking for 4 days a week, all options are open to discussion. Lastly, this team member is for the long-term.  The agency is looking for commitment and passion to grow and develop with these other professionals and ultimately make some great financial rewards!

If the above intrigues you or you feel its suited for someone you know, please share or get in touch!   This hire does not need to happen overnight, it may be tomorrow or a years’ time, please do not let timings keep you away from getting in touch.  Thanks!
