An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join one of the biggest FMCG retailers as a Head of Health, Wellbeing and Partnership Communications with a remit to devise and lead their strategy/approach in the health sphere.

This role blends communications, stakeholder engagement and events/charity partnership management so would best suit someone with either a consumer or corporate communications background, who has managed partnerships (ideally with charities) and worked on large scale consumer events for big brands.

The Role – Head of Health/Wellbeing and Partnership Communications

In this role, you’ll very much be the visionary for the brand’s health strategy, helping to drive campaigns that really showcase this company as a great place to work and shop to boost wellbeing and make healthier choices.

The role consists of several key elements:

  • Managing the brand’s important partnerships with three health charities: defining joint activity and engaging to help develop and execute a plan to improve the health of customers, employees and colleagues
  • Running the brand’s huge owned fundraising health and wellbeing event – this year the event made upwards of £1 million in just one weekend!
  • Extensive internal liaison with relevant departments internally to pull together/co-ordinate all the brand’s relevant activity into one central health/wellbeing communications strategy

Whilst you don’t need to have experience in the health and wellbeing sphere, what you do need to have is experience of working in a commercial environment for a large, consumer-facing brand. Passion and experience in health/wellbeing is a huge plus!

You will have:

  • Experience in managing partnerships with charities/third parties
  • In house experience preferred but agency will be considered
  • Big brand experience
  • Strong track record of strategic communications
  • Experience in health (or at least passion for the sector)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence at various levels and work with a wide range of stakeholders

In return:

  • A salary of £75,000 - £100,000 DOE
