The Department
As part of our External Relations Directorate, the Internal Communications team are responsible for promoting our fantastic student stories, our ground-breaking research and our award-winning campaigns, teams and staff members through a variety of communication channels. This in turn underpins what makes us all feel #McrMetProud and how everyone works together to support the success of our students and employees.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Communications and part of the Communications leadership team, you will work collaboratively to direct, lead and develop our communications strategies for staff and students, whilst supporting the development of broader communications initiatives across the University.
This key appointment will develop and deliver on innovative campaigns and messaging strategy across multiple platforms, to fully engage student and staff stakeholder audiences.
Your creative abilities and stakeholder relationship management will enable you to develop relevant, engaging campaigns that truly resonate with the target audiences.
The Person
Your passion and in-depth understanding for internal communications disciplines and strategies, including the digital agenda, will be at the forefront of our appointment decision.
We are looking for someone who is able to build effective relationships across a broad range of complex stakeholders within a large organisation. An excellent copywriter, we’ll need you to be proficient in the latest technological approaches to internal communications, be familiar with the different channels and needs of internal audiences.
