Senior Press Officer - Issues rich in-house organisation
Whist this is organisation sits at the heart of the Travel industry the issues and industry reputation challenges they face on a day to day aren’t all about Thomas Cook and Brexit. They are so much more than that, covering wider subjects that include animal welfare and also sustainability. You’ll be hard pushed to find another organisation so close to the action.
With a pretty impressive, largely ex agency team in place they are looking for a Senior PR Executive (read Account Manager or Senior Press Officer) who can add ever more brains and creativity to the mix. Having worked with issues rich brands in the past you will have an understanding of both the corporate and consumer PR landscape and be used to thinking about both audiences simultaneously, providing comment on a crisis one minute and organising an international event the next.
It's likely you are sat in an agency right now, or in a busy in-house press office and will be keen to continue working in an energetic environment but for one business, albeit with multiple layers.
On a day to day your role will cover reactive and proactive press activity, statement development and working with stakeholders within the business. Unlike some in-house teams, there’s no bureaucracy here and no arduous sign off processes. Sounds too good to be true.
