The Agency

This PR and content agency is part of a top wider marketing services group with a multi-offering across consumer, corporate communications, technology, influencer marketing and digital/social and a client list boasting some of the biggest blue chip names such as British Gas, Airbus, Network Rail, Alpen Cereal, Ford and BP. The entire company is around 80 people and split into the aforementioned sectors with all working in an integrated, collaborative way.

We are looking for a Director to join the well respected Corporate and B2B practice and continue its momentum/winning streak of 40% growth year on year and a revenue in excess of £2million – not bad for a 16 person team!

As an agency, they aren’t one of the traditional corporate outfits that may immediately come to mind, making this a really interesting opportunity for someone looking for something different. Their USP is their blend of client programmes, offering a “corp-sumer” mix of expertise to challenge the rigid conventions of traditional corporate communications by blending aspects of B2B, corporate and consumer communications to help clients solve their challenges. Much of their work is integrated, often blending together disciplines such as media relations, digital content production, social media, influencer marketing, media training and thought leadership, events, public affairs and employee engagement.

The Role – Director (Corporate)

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop their own practice area within the already successful corporate team.

We’re looking for someone who has a strong track record in corporate comms (across multiple sectors but ideally with sector experience including manufacturing, resources, energy or tech, or an interest in sustainability/CSR/environmental) loves the challenge of pitching and winning new business and acting as a trusted client lead.

A full job spec can be provided but key responsibilities will include:

  • Growing and developing channel agnostic business across the agency
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of multi disciplinary communications programmes
  • Financial management – from budget setting/management/revenue forecasting to ensuring we deliver against the agency’s own profitability targets
  • Organically growing clients and pitching/converting new business
  • Deputising for the COO/Team Head in their absence and helping to inspiring and leading the team
