Senior European PR Manager

Role overview:

The Senior European PR Manager will be responsible for supporting and developing the global PR strategy and programme across designated European territories. Working with agencies and as an individual contributor the position will produce content on behalf of the company and its senior stakeholders.

Main tasks/responsibilities:

• Press office functions:
  
  
  
  • Prioritise and answer direct media requests
  
  
  • Progress appropriate opportunities put forward by PR agencies
  
  
  • Draft or review/edit PR plans / campaigns, press releases, house views, positioning statements, Q&As and ad-hoc media notes
  
  
  
  


• Day to day interaction with European PR agencies and helping to provide direction and support for the execution of the European PR strategy.


• Monitor and manage the company's reputation globally:
  
  
  
  • Review daily press clippings
  
  
  • Monitor journalists' requests
  
  
  • Monitor key debates and identifying story opportunities as well as potential issues
  
  
  
  


• Help to manage crisis communications or issues management - with the support of the Global Head of PR & Communications

Key skills and experience:

5+ Years PR Experience ideally within a financial services setting (Either agency or In-House)

• Excellent writing skills


• Proven track record in building media relationships


• Experience of media relations / managing PR agencies in Europe an advantage
