Consumer Account Director - PR - The Company

My client is a mid-sized global agency and proud member of a global network of marketing solutions alongside world-class agencies across the marketing spectrum in all major world markets. HQ'd in New York, the agency has grown into a global network with wholly-owned offices London and the far-east. As a result of their current PR Account Director moving countries, they are looking to have an experienced Account Director on-board asap. This person will proactively assist in the profitability, success and growth of clients. The position carries focus for developing new business, reporting to the senior managers on activity, results and profitability.

You MUST have experience of working on global clients within luxury/lifestyle spectrum and this is a absolute basic requirement for the role. There will also be integrated global work on another brand involving experiential activations and global toolkit generation.

Consumer Account Director - PR - Daily responsibilities
* Relationship development - be proactive at maintaining strong relationships with all client contacts, particularly senior people
* Provide strategic counsel to clients where possible, being able to assess problems and define logical and effective solutions for clients - acting as a true consultant on marketing issues to the client
* Contribute to generating creative ideas and solutions for pitching, events and the overall PR programme, develop the ability to sell such ideas to client
* Report on results - report account team results with completed time sheets to ensure that invoices are always accurate and produced on time each month
* Market knowledge - offer market knowledge and business intelligence to clients on a continual basis
* Develop the ability to predict possible problems on the account and be ready to deal with any crisis and action appropriately

Consumer Account Director - PR - Required skills
Continuing to build new media contacts and sustain existing ones, selling in and teaching other team members how to, therefore the experience in the following is essential:
* Regular client coaching and evaluation of results and reporting feedback to clients
* Grow and sustain relationships with media contacts and journalists
* Ensure quality standards are maintained on all accounts
* Excellent presentation skills and the ability to coach clients effectively
* Create and present PR plans/proposals for ongoing PR programmes and projects
* Writing well structured, persuasive copy and helping others to do the same
* Driving the team and programme towards the desired objectives
