What it’s all about

We are looking for a talented individual with a background in corporate communications and public relations, preferably within transport, energy or infrastructure although we would consider a strong generalist.

You will be responsible for maintaining and growing a strong commercial partnership with the clients in your portfolio.  Leading on the client brief, you will develop strategies that deliver valuable results, develop key messages and manage crisis communications; leading your team in delivering integrated communications programmes on time and within budget.  As a key part of the senior team you will be responsible for the commercial success of your portfolio, tracking profitability and servicing levels on all accounts, and playing a leading role in new business pitches and proposals.

Inside BECG you will be a line manager, mentor, and coach to your team, helping them to develop the skills and behaviours to work as a successful unit under your leadership, and advance their own careers in communications.

About you:

Whether you are a safe pair of hands looking for a new challenge or keen to progress in your career, you will bring credibility with your desire, ambition and skill.  Ideally with experience working within one or more of the property, infrastructure, energy, or environment sectors; you will be adept at leading teams of Account Managers and Executives to deliver and implement corporate communications’ strategies, including both proactive PR and crisis communications.   You will need to be an excellent communicator, with strong copy-writing and inter-personal skills and will be comfortable with holding strong client relationships at all levels.  You are a highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-starting individual with a passion for the media and communications and with the ability to deliver results that support your clients’ business goals, overseeing multiple client programmes simultaneously. With a commercial focus, you are driven to build the value of existing client accounts whilst also identifying and securing new clients across the built environment sectors.

Who we are & What we do:

Operating from eight offices across the UK, we manage political, media and community relationships for some of the country’s most respected companies. We pride ourselves on having one of the largest, most experienced stakeholder and community engagement teams in Britain.

The teams help clients achieve their goals by engaging with politicians at a local, regional and national level, whether they’re seeking to obtain planning consent for a new development, deliver best-practice consultation, manage reputation, raise their profile with political stakeholders or influence Government policy.

BECG is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age
