Account Director - Energy

This is a unique opportunity to join one of the world's most famous agencies to structure itself around sectors. Each team incorporates consumer, corporate and consumer affairs consultants that are then supported by specialist areas of ideas and strategy, content creation and publishing.

The Energy team is looking to recruit an account director who is looking to help to build and shape the team’s consumer offering. Please note that whilst experience in the energy and industrials sector is not required, but relevant PR agency experience is essential.

As part of the role you will running a targeted press office for one of the agency’s largest clients which is designed to encourage behaviour change amongst the UK population.

You will need strong brand/consumer communications experience, preferably within an agency, delivering multi-disciplinary UK campaign work for heavyweight clients.

You will also be:

• A strong client handler, who can hit the ground running straight away;

• Keen to maintain existing broadcast, print and online contacts;

• News savvy – able to steer campaigns and messaging to maximise media coverage

• Confident in delivering content that works for social, as well as traditional, media platforms;

• Interested in all elements of new business;

• A confident team player who can act as a coach and mentor a team of talented, ambitious juniors
