Account Director - Corporate Communications & Public Affairs

An internationally renowned corporate and public affairs agency is looking for an experienced Account Director to join their health team. This role is the ideal opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to work alongside a team of motivated and driven consultants, with unrivalled corporate comms & public affairs experience. The health team at this agency has an ever-expanding list of UK and international clients from the health and wellbeing, charity, social care and pharmaceutical sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing senior level counsel to clients across public policy and corporate comms strategies
  • Overseeing clients and projects
  • Working closely with clients to develop stakeholder and media strategies
  • Contributing pivotal insight to proposals, pitches and new business 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with national and industry journalists, stakeholders, and relevant MPs
  • Managing multi-disciplinary client teams 

Requirements:

  • Proven Public Affairs experience, ideally within the health sector
  • Strong understanding of local government and public policy
  • Excellent media relations skills with strong contacts in national print and broadcast
  • The ability to manage large accounts and clients
  • Excellent client servicing and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
