Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. Through our national network of charities, we give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.

About us

It’s a really exciting time to be joining Citizens Advice. We’re working toward an ambitious vision, the Future of Advice, so we can help more people across a range of new and existing channels. Last year our website had 34.5 million visits and we helped 2.8 million people in person, by phone, email or web chat. We’re dedicated to finding innovative ways of solving people’s problems through digital content and services.

The arrival of Covid-19 has only made meeting our ambitions more urgent and important. Virtually overnight our service has shifted the way it delivers advice and guidance to millions of people across England and Wales. As the economic and social impact of the pandemic continue, Citizens Advice will be at the forefront of helping people navigate uncertainties.

The role

This is a new role within the Communications and Engagement team, which sits at the heart of Citizens Advice. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Engagement, the Brand and Marketing Manager will be joining a high performing team responsible for engaging key audiences including 30,000 staff and volunteers and the general public with our work, using a range of channels across digital, events and print. This role will lead a team of 5 who work across digital communications and visual design, and lead important work on developing a clearer organisational brand and marketing strategy.

We’re looking for a team leader with a strong background in brand strategy, digital communications and marketing, with exceptional judgement and excellent stakeholder management. You’ll be confident and comfortable working across a large organisation, and able to work collaboratively in a fast paced and creative team.

This is a pivotal role in one of the country’s most important organisations. As we ensure that people across England and Wales get the support they need at such a critical time, you’ll play an important part in helping the organisation innovate and deliver the best service for the people who come to us for help.

We are a member of the race equality campaign at Business in the Community, the Prince’s responsible business network and are committed to improving employment opportunities for ethnic minorities across the UK. We also welcome applications from, LGB and Trans and non binary candidates.
We have made a positive commitment to employing disabled people and guarantee to interview all disabled candidates who meet the minimum essential criteria for the role as set out in role profiles.

Please note, in the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to close the application early.
