Healthcare Director – Independent Communications Agency

We are looking for a Healthcare Director to join this prestigious independent communications agency and grow out a division. However, this isn’t a role where you’ll be doing all the hard work to launch something from scratch. The agency already has a well- reputed health team that focuses on public affairs (70%) and corporate comms (30%), undertaking work for the usual suspects in big pharma, medicinal cannabis, gyms, the NHS and pro bono charity/project work, so there’s plenty of variety. The agency feel there’s a fantastic opportunity for someone to use this as a springboard to bring in new clients and build the more traditional pharma/healthcare communications side but also organically grow this type of work by cross-selling into the existing client base.

The opportunity here is huge as whilst the job title is “Director” you’ll effectively be the head of your new division, with the chance to really shine and take home the glory.

We have a full JD but some key attributes of the successful candidate will be:

• You’ll have proven agency experience gained in a healthcare communications team or healthcare specialist communications agency
• Either an ambitious Associate Director ready for a step up or a fairly new Director
• Ambitious and entrepreneurial with the desire to grow and build a division
• Proven track record of new business success and organic growth
