About the Environmental Conservation Charity

Leading international wildlife conservation charity is seeking a talented Communications Officer to join their communications team. The charity partners with NGO’s around the world to protect natural ecosystems and save threatened species. The charity is also focused on providing natural solutions to the climate crisis with carbon offsetting projects. They are a forward thinking, internationally respected conservation charity, with high profile patrons. The new Communications Manager will be joining an organisation with a supportive, flexible and inclusive working environment.  

About the Communications Officer role

Reporting into the Communications Manager, the Communications Officer will have a hands-on role, writing and editing content for digital and print channels. The communications team play a key role in inspiring supporters and raising awareness. The organisation has a non-hierarchical structure, and the Communications Officer will have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to the table and contribute to communications strategy.   

Key Responsibilities for the Communications Officer:    

Writing, editing and producing content for multiple channels including website, blog, social media and print  Working with videographers to create engaging video content  Managing social channels and writing social copy  Staying abreast of current news stories and producing reactive content  Researching new stories and content ideas   About You

You’ll be a talented and digitally savvy writer with the ability to write compelling content for different channels and audiences. If you’re passionate about communications, conservation and mitigating climate change, this could be the perfect role for you.   

Skills and experience needed for the Communications Officer role:
